Cardmaking Paradise Templates
Hello everyone! Aren’t we having some glorious weather at the moment? The birds are singing, butterflies flitting around and the spring flowers all make for an uplifting time 🙂
I am a member of a wonderful community over at Cardmaking Paradise run by the lovely and talented Sara Sandberg; there is a forum with lots of fun people from around the world and they, too, are also talented. The items many of the ladies make range widely across the crafty spectrum, I don’t think there is a craft question that has stumped anyone yet! Sara not only runs the forum and members area but also designs various templates for members use and is a whizz at technical problems.
One of the templates is for a concertina card and box. There is a variation on the concertina card – either plain or designed to carry the words Mum, Mom or Mor for Mother’s Day (or perhaps a special birthday card). This is my take on the concertina card:
The base card is created from pearlescent gold card stock stamped with a Crafter’s Companion flower image in lack Archival Ink. The inner section is a piece of white cs inked with Versamagic then overstamping in black ink and finally coloured with pencils.
I love this little box! The template was printed onto gold pearlescent cs, cut out and then stamped with a script stamp before assembling and a butterfly attached for added decoration.
Sara also has a blog where you can see details of a blog candy haul she is offering anyone using her templates – see image on my sidebar.

As Sara explains “Help us to spread the word about Cardmaking Paradise. 10% of all membership fees go towards our new charity, Crafty Smiles, bringing crafts to children in Oncology Wards around the country.
You can join in wherever you are in the world!”
You must admit this is a most worthy cause; as a member of Cardmaking Paradise you join in the fun of the forum and have access to lots of great templates, join in swaps and challenges and pick up plenty of hints and tips on a wide raft of craft subjects.
Thanks for looking 🙂
