Q&L #5 Road and Art

Over at The Craft Barn the quote and lyric challenge this fortnight is Road and /or Art. So far I have been able to use both words of the challenge; I try to find a song lyric for one side of the 4 x 4 inch card and a suitable quote for the other. When I first saw the new words a line from a song immediately popped into my mind but it took a few days for an image to hatch!

Nowhere really does exist!

Nowhere really does exist!

All I can remember of the song is just this one line and that is from the ‘chorus’! After mulling for a few days it suddenly occurred to me that we had visited Nowhere; it is a tiny area on St Mary’s, Isles of Scilly (highlighted in yellow on the map) and of course I couldn’t resist adding the hedgehogs! The background is a piece of shaving foam marbled paper – shaving foam with alcohol inks dripped in and mixed – the copy paper used the second generation inks.

Supplies used:

Inks – Versamagic Hint of Pesto

         – Distress Ink Black soot

         – Archival Jet Black

        – Memento Rich Cocoa

Stamps – Inkylicious Take Flight

               – Cute Companions grasses

                – Penny Black Tiny Wishes

               – PaperArtsy birds and branches

              -Tree unknown!

"All Art is but imitation of nature"

“All Art is but imitation of nature”

This is a bit of a wishy washy piece but there wasn’t enough time to re-do it so it has to stand!

Supplies used:

Inks – various Versamagic

Stencil – Imagination Crafts Flourish

Stamp by Stampin’ Up (Thank you Leslie!!)

Thank you for looking x
