ATC Swap, theme Different Decades

Over on UK Stampers this month’s ATC swap theme is Different Decades.  I wasn’t quite sure which decade to go with but having few ‘people’ type stamps and because of my love of VW’s it just had to be the 60s! This camper vans are so iconic of that time yet are still so popular, someone locally has spent a great deal of time and money renovating a classic VW Camper and it is covered in gaily coloured flowers, perhaps they are trying to recapture their youth?! We never owned a Camper (proper term Caravette – DH was a VW trained mechanic and insists on the proper name!) but we did have several VW Beetles and, for our business, a VW twin cab pick up, fabulous workhorses!

Supplies:

Inks – Versamagic Purple Hydrangea and Red Magic

            Colorbox Primary

          Archival Jet Black

Stamps – Cute Companions

Black fine liner pen.

Thanks for looking x

These capture the spirit of the 60s perfectly. My family had 2 sets of friends with VW campers and we spent many happy days on trips all over England with both of them. No seat belts in those days so we would all pile in and on the way home I would be put at the back to fall asleep.
