Craft Barn Alpha challenge

It is a month since I did the Craft Barn alpha/dictionary challenge thanks to a slipped disk/over rotated something or other – whatever it is the pain has been awful! Consequently I haven’t been able to do much crafting however I did manage this fortnight’s ‘R’ challenge.

Before we get down to business  I’d like to apologise in advance as I doubt whether I will be able to get around to everyone who has entered this challenge; also apologies to those who show their entries on Facebook/Pinterest, etc as I am not signed up to those I can’t comment. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to comment on my blog, your comments are much appreciated.

Dictionary 03-16 R sig

For this month I did a very simple piece. I painted a rough square with some Frosted Mint acrylic paint and then stamped the image on top and coloured with pencils. Added the dictionary definition and put a touch of gold around the edge! Simples 🙂

The paint I used is from a range by Docrafts and they are lovely shades, mainly pearlised or metallic but a nice addition to my other acrylic paints and not expensive either!

Materials:

Docrafts Artiste Acrylic Paint – Frosted Mint;

Stamp – Elusive Image;

Ink – Archival Jet Black;

Coloured pencils (a range from Ryman’s)

Pen Touch Gold

Many thanks for looking x

  1. Good to see that you can at last manage a bit of crafting, Lynn. Hope your recovery is soon complete.

    What a lovely yummy background colour! It sets the rose off perfectly.

  5. I thought you had been a bit quiet of late and now I understand why. Back pain can be so debilitating so I hope you are on the mend. This is a pretty page and the metallic background highlights the beauty of the rose very well. Hope you get some time to relax over the Easter weekend.
