Alpha Challenge

On the Craft Barn blog the new challenge is for a piece beginning with the letter ‘S’ and the added twist is that a shell should be on there somewhere! Well I thought I’d had a brilliant idea coming up with a fairy silhouette sitting on/in two shells but when I showed it to my DH he said it looked like the angel of death!!! He wasn’t at all impressed. Hope it generates more excitement from others:)

I have several projects in mind I want to do so thought I would clear the decks early of all the swaps and challenges and make a start on one of the projects – a firescreen for our sitting room hearth. However I was sent a very full box of stamps a while ago and they also needed sorting, putting some cushion mount of some and getting them put into the right binders and indexing them; two days later I still haven’t finished them and one of the binders desperately needs some order and organisation and dividing into a second binder as the first one is rather full to bursting!

I really will make a start on that firescreen project!!

Craft Barn Alpha Challenge

First of all many apologies for not getting around to everyone to leave a comment and to thank all those who left lovely comments for me.

This fortnight’s challenge at Craft Barn is the letter ‘D’ with pink somewhere. I had several ideas but a quick flick through my stamp index showed me this stamp which I have yet to use. It was amongst an assortment given to me and sadly I don’t know who it is by.

Craft Barn Alpha Challenge

It took me ages to come up with an idea for the Alpha Challenge at Craft Barn this time; nothing would spring to mind then I was rootling through a box of die cuts and came across some gate and fence die cuts I had purchased from the well known auction site! Light bulb moment – I had my word!!! The letter was ‘G’ so I had Gate.

It may not easily be seen in the photo but I opened the gate and used a small piece of foam to keep it open, hoping to invite you in to view the statue!
