F with a twist

It is time for the Craft Barn alpha/dictionary challenge. I’m sneaking this one in only a smidgeon ahead of the deadline! We had to come up with something beginning with the letter ‘F’ but there had to be a heart in the mix somewhere. My first heart didn’t show up as a proper defined heart so had to add a small line of green hearts at the top right corner.

Dictionary 02-16 F with a heart

I was also able to use up a few things from my craft stash that have been hanging around for more years than I care to think about! The three fans and the gold string beads have been lurking in a drawer for too long.

Materials:

Graphic 45 pearls of Wisdom paper from the Bird Song Collection

Distress Inks – Cracked Pistachio; Mermaid Lagoon; Abandoned Coral.

Stamp – Stamp Addict and small heart was a free stamp from Craft Stamper magazine.

Fans and gold beads from craft stash.

Thank you for looking x

  1. Always a pleasing feeling when you put long time residents in your craft stash to good use! The little hearts finish off your piece perfectly.

I like the design with the torn apart paper, the embellishments are spot on too for your chosen word. Great page!

  3. I love this – it’s fabulous.
    xxx Hazel.

  4. I’m very, very late and know it, but I simply had to visit, even though the next CB challenge has already been posted. I simply love it when I can use up old stash in a new and unique way to what I got it for. This is a great entry. I really LOVE the fans, and the fact that no one came up with this word to use. Creative and gorgeous, right down to the beads you chose.

  5. This is such a good idea and how satisfying to be able to use your bits from your stash. A great piece.

  6. The embellishments and background paper work perfectly with each other. There’s a reason crafters have such a lot of stuff so that we can find the perfect elements at the right time x

  10. Sorry Lynn, I’m very late visiting. You get such warm glow, don’t you when using up bits from your stash – it must be the heat coming of ones halo! A great choice of word and I love the torn paper revealing the hearts.

  11. Your page is lovely – great word choice! Plus using up a few old bits and pieces is very satisfying .
